Ellie
You won’t see these creatures and their world, but Ellie does, and she always has. And because she is so full of this magic, she doesn't think it odd at all. If anything, she thinks it odd that no one else CAN see them. For you see, Ellie lives at the edge of the hollow, and as far as the creatures that live in the hollow are concerned, she has always lived right behind the bright red door of the old playhouse nestled in the orchard. For that’s where they'd always found her, and she them.

From the moment my pen first touched paper, Ellie was with me. Shaking her head and giggling with affection, it was Ellie that told me of the mishaps that Olivia
endured...and the way that the Toad brothers watched out over the Harbor. Ellie knew every creature in Thimbleberry, long before I did. She is the spirit of kindness, tenderness, strength, and joy. In many ways, Ellie embodies the spirit of Thimbleberry Hollow.

But there was the issue of clothing... we had to find something just right... and it was hard to do. Ellie is the practical sort, of course, and doesn't really like the cute frills or loud splashy prints. Which is why, when we stumbled upon
When it came time to create Ellie - nothing seemed good enough. Nothing.... fit right. I looked at dolls, homemade and manufactured... for what seemed like a long LONG time. Until one day, while looking at the Ruby Red Fashion Friends website, I glanced past the full sized 14 inch dolls to the "Siblies" - where I found Ellie. Grinning back at me from beneath her enthusiastic pigtails, I knew that we had finally found each other. She was, and is... perfect.
