"Snowdrop chewed her bottom lip as she stared out the window of her fairy house, her foot tapping impatiently on the worn wood floor. Holly Snowdrop had lived in her tiny stone house tucked in the branches of an old cedar tree in Thimbleberry Woods for almost 500 years. And for every single one of those years, it was Holly (affectionately known as “Snowdrop” to her animal friends) that brought Spring to Thimbleberry Hollow.

It was her favorite thing in the world, and she had been pacing up and down in her cheerful yellow house, her fairy wings flopping this way and that, her golden hair swishing in her face each time she turned around, for days. Because no matter how many times she sprinkled her fairy dust across the snowy ground to coax the white snowdrops out of their winter sleep, it was still magic. Even to her, a 500 year old fairy who has done this 499 times so far. It never got old."
